Through this first artistic series, shadow is explored as a tool for sculpting reality, capable of revealing light, forms, and the most radical contrasts. It is founded on the point of percussion between darkness and the tangible elements of everyday life : architecture, the wear of cobblestones, the weave of a wire fence, or the fleeting presence of a human being.

Within these compositions, shadow anchors these elements in a suspended temporality, saving them from insignificance by conferring upon them a monumental dignity. Here, shadow is not a void, but a visual memory that highlights what would otherwise fall into oblivion.
